Along with the many journeys of my life comes a lovely circle of amazingly talented, creative, friends, and acquaintances, who are part of The Funk! Creative Community.
Therefore, "The Funk!" is able to provide custom, one-of-a-kind products and services, along with unforgettable experiences!!

If we haven't met yet, my name is Joylyn and I am a very complex person with a unique style.
My story is incredibly long and still in process, but to highlight why I decided it was important to turn my life lessons into an opportunity for shared passion and growth, I created The Funk! Creative Community.

I, personally, am a Survivor of Childhood Abuse and Domestic Abuse.. I have overcome more than I ever thought I could handle and "The Funk!" is a place for You to come find, create and build the dream you've kept in your heart through the nightmares of your life to create the life that You desire!
No matter what battles your fighting, it is my goal to inspire You to allow yourself to have a better future!! It could be something as simple as finding the right gift for someone special or as complex as taking a class, learning a trade and becoming your own boss!!
I started my first business in Sales & Customer Service at age six and have met 1,000's of amazing people from all over the world who shared their knowledge, experiences, support, opinions, and more!
Every encounter in my life has had an amazing value that I was not aware of at the time. After over 35 years of working to make other people rich, I am finally stepping back to fulfill my dreams of fulfilling other people's dreams who are working to support themselves!!
I am excited to meet you in person and work with you to create the future that you desire!

As we move into November, I look forward to more fires, in safe, contained locations!

The next day, Sunday, November 24th, The Funk! will be closed to enjoy the Uptown Lexington Christmas Open House.
November Giving:
5% of all income will be donated to Sisters of Hope NC.
