I am looking for organizations that align closely with Family Services of Davidson County, American Children's Home, Dragonfly House, Lexington Pride, Habitat for Humanity, Home Solutions of Davidson County, DC Connect, and similar organizations who focus on prioritizing overall wellness, domestic violence prevention and resources, providing safety and security for children, and keeping families safe, healthy, housed, and well-balanced.

For May, The Funk! will be collaborating with individuals in our community and throughout the nation to provide as many opportunities as possible to prioritize, embrace, and improve our individual and collective mental health!

For May, The Funk! will be collaborating with individuals in our community and throughout the nation to provide as many opportunities as possible to prioritize, embrace, and improve our individual and collective mental health!

Starting on Friday, May 1st, all interested individuals are invited to come by during retail hours for a mental health boost! Technically, this is already and option, but we will be highlighting all the ways to embrace it!
You are welcome to come sit, knit, color, read, and/or create with the supplies available or bring your own!
There will also be a big focus on the mental health struggles associated with Mother's Day, specifically in traumatic mother/child relationships, and instances of loss.
Therefore, anything you would like to contribute, share, and/or highlight this month and every month!

For April, Silwood Soaps, another local small business is hosting a large fundraiser to raise $5,000 to donate to three local schools. One elementary, one middle school, and one high school.

For April 2026, the goal is to learn at least $2000 in income! This will allow us to donate at least $100 to the Silwood Soaps fundraiser.
Also, please join us on Thursday, April 2nd from 1-5p to meet Maurici Dulin, learn more about her journey with Autism, and learn from local autism resource providers!
